Review on ๐Ÿ”‹ Tenergy TN162 8-Bay Smart LCD Battery Charger: Fast Charging for AA/AAA NiMH/NiCd Batteries by Andrew Vijayakumar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

So far, so good. Here are the technical details.

I bought this charger because the Maha/Powerex WizardOne MH-C9000 I already own uses a high charging current by default which can shorten battery life, especially with AAA batteries when they are used every Charging the battery cannot be adjusted. it is charging. To avoid family problems I was looking for this charger so that my wife could charge the batteries by installing them and not having to deal with the settings every time. Quick Overview ADVANTAGES: Good charge rates for AA and AAA batteries to avoid damage from charging too quickly Constant current pulse charging Individual charging 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, . or 8 batteries in any combination of AA or AAA dV charge completion logic plus overheat and overvoltage protection. Useful status indicator. Basic update function. CONS: The loading speed is not adjustable. 8 charging slots and reasonable standard current for long battery life for AA (500mA) and AAA (250mA) batteries. Refresh mode slowly discharges them all before charging again (waiting for all to discharge to a breakpoint before entering charge mode). I measured this charger with a DMM when it arrived and found that it uses 2A DC pulses to charge, just like WizardOne. By the way, when all the batteries are charged (or not), the blue LED backlight turns off. It seems pretty well made for the price, but time will tell how long it will last my need for a simple, reliable single-cell charger that doesn't charge too quickly or reduce battery life. I have seen negative reviews. here, but decided to try this one anyway as it suited what I needed best. I will update this review if I encounter any issues.

Pros

Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
