The router is in the basement and the WiFi connection doesn't reach the bedrooms even with a WiFi extender. This is a new router from an ISP, but it has poor wireless range. Used a coupler in the basement and an outlet in the game room, used a switch to turn the power strip into a hotspot and hardwired it to the game console.
