I already wore the coat during a wind and rain storm near Lake Michigan. It kept me warm enough and the rain off of me. As a matter of fact it dried rather well. I'm glad it comes with a hood and an inner zipper. I found the outer coat to be hard to button, especially when your hands are cold. But as a size medium it fit perfectly. Its also a good length, not quite a full trench coat, but longer than a regular coat. Its a thinner woolen coat, so it may not keep you as warm in very cold weather, but the fabric is light enough that you can comfortably move in it.
