I bought 2 of these to utilize closet space where there is no bar or shelves (weird closet). First I will tell you that I really feel like it is expensive but I was desperate. New home, needs unpacking - enough said. When they arrived; However, I was pleased to find that they are in fact as durable and well built as described. They work well (or as far as our closet conditions can) in the area we installed them. We've had them for a few months now and use them to hold our thick coats. They carry quite a bit of weight, but these minions handle it like it's nothing. I'll mention that usually if someone wants to drop them down (parallel to the wall, not in the normal hanging position when they're in use) you can do so with a couple of shirts. We can't really do that because the weight of the cloak makes the valet too heavy to easily adjust. Even if we fought him, the cloak's bulkiness just wouldn't fold him enough to be worth the trouble. We have no need; However, fold it while he's wearing a coat so it's good for us. I don't see it breaking. The only problem with complaining is, as far as I can tell, how well adjusted it is. Finding a nail would be ideal, but if that's not possible then the wall anchors should probably fit. Honestly, I would have liked a different closet, but the washroom valet is a good second choice for my clothes storage situation.
