I saw one of these in the quest room. We set up a fundraising quest room for our youth camp, and that's the way it should be! Now, as for the functionality of the lock itself, I like that it's one-handed. Can't comment on weather resistance for an outdoor lock as we haven't used it for that, but for indoor use it's perfect. I'm sure since this is the main lock it can be used outside, just use WD-40 to service it. By the way, in case you didn't know, the "WD" in WD-40 stands for "water dispersant." People use it as a penetrating oil, but if you use it on something that's not yet rusty, it helps prevent water damage to metal parts by "spreading out" the water so it doesn't stay and rust your metal parts. So if you're using this lock outdoors, apply some WD-40 and I'm sure it will last a very long time.
