I like that the pump is connected with metal and bolts. My last pump had plastic connecting it and that’s what failed and broke after 3 years. Hoping I get a lot more than 3 years out of this pump. It does come in 2 pieces, so you have to take the screen off and the wire protection. It would be nice to have directions. I did figure out. The problem came with wiring the pump to my existing wiring. The wires that go to the control box were red, green, and black. My old pump wires were red, black, green, and yellow. The new pump was red, black, yellow/green, and blue. Nothing in the directions stated which wire did what. Obviously, the yellow, green was ground, but not knowing which was the start or the capacitor was a problem. I had to search the internet to find it. You do have to use the control box that comes with it. It will NOT work with another control box. It’s been working fine for about 3 weeks, so we’ll see how long it lasts. Construction of the pump seems to be very durable, but instructions were lacking.
