We installed it in the room where we keep the trays. We have 3 cats and they can make a big mess, so having this dispenser on the wall right where I need it most is very convenient. It dispenses perforated sheets, making it quick and easy to grab multiple sheets when you need them. It does not require batteries. This is a simple system that should last a long time.
