Greenwashing! Not good for the environment

Purchasing this product was a mistake on my part, based on ignorance. First, bioplastics are PLASTICS. Duh, right? Educate yourself just a bit, and you'll find that just because a plastic is sourced from "natural" materials does not mean that the end result is Earth friendly. Also, "compostable" is a really slippery slope. First, will it degrade in your home compost pile? Highly doubtful. So, does your city offer industrial composting? If not, then save your money and just buy whatever plastic…

Pros
  • Better strength then similar bags I’ve purchased
Cons
  • They tear when taken out of barrel. I wish they’d hold up to being moved with matter in it.

Not compostable for my opinion

These bags are not actually compostable. They are plastic. Best Buy lets companies claim their products are compostable without any verification. If a compostable product is not "BPI” certified it may not actually be compostable.

Pros
  • Perfect fit 13 -15 gallon trash Bags
Cons
  • They may not be as aesthetically pleasing as traditional bags

LOVE THESE FOR LITTER ROBOT

LOVE these bags. have been using them for trash and recycling but recently got the larger size for my litter robot. SOOO much more affordable than the brands roll of 20 bags for $20!

Pros
  • These are sturdy enough...love them and buy them often
Cons
  • Composting may not be available in all areas

Decently priced and eco friendly. Stands up to stress and stretching. The opening is just a tad small for some tall kitchen receptacles. The one I has takes the name-brand bag okay, but these bags are harder to get over the lip of the receptacle to stay upright in the receptacle. Overall, I'm still glad I bought them as opposed to the planet killing bags by the name brands

Pros
  • TALL Kitchen GARBAGE BAG
Cons
  • The bags may not be as reliable as traditional bags

They work great overall, but can tear if too heavy or sharp edges.

They work really well, much better than other compostables, but can tear sometimes if too heavy or any sharp edges. Highly recommend though.

Pros
  • Thick enough to handle heavy loads
Cons
  • They may not retain their shape as well as traditional bags

Get a larger size best in my review

I really really wanted to loves these bags. But they are way smaller than a tall kitchen bag should be and they have almost no give so i couldn't even stretch them to fit my garbage can.BUT I loved them for the smaller cans throughout my home and if it wasn't for the fact that we were going through about one a day because of the size issue they would have lasted a LONG time. I will buy this again but I'll buy the larger size option for my kitchen garbage.

Pros
  • Suitable for outdoor use in the garden or backyard
Cons
  • They may not be as versatile as traditional bags

You need these on my review.

As an alternative to covering the earth in plastic, these are great, I haven't tested them to see if, in fact, the compost. Based on the label they should be much better than the grocery store variety. I have had no trouble at all in using them or storing them. In fact, I am on my second box.

Pros
  • Easy to use. Works for us.
Cons
  • Compostable bags may not be as durable as traditional plastic bags

Great Ecologically-sound Trash Bag for 13-gallon Cans

This bag is sturdy enough and fits 13-gallon cans just right. (We use large rubber band around top to keep in place.) Made from renewable resources.

Pros
  • Made from renewable resources
Cons
  • The bags may not have the same level of brand recognition as traditional bags

Good on the environment

I love that these are gentle on the environment. They are big enough for my big kitchen trash can and are surprisingly strong. Will continue to buy as I’m trying to avoid plastic bags.

Pros
  • Enhances green initiatives for businesses
Cons
  • The bags may not be as compatible with all types of recycling programs

Very impressed: my feedback

So far I love these! I was so happy to find an alternative that's good for the environment. The bags are sturdy, and the box doubles as a distributor. They fit our trash can perfectly, and have been able to stand up to heavyweight trash like cat litter. Overall I'm happily impressed with this product, and will most definitely buy them again in the future. For this many bags I think I even ended up saving money!

Pros
  • Durable great product for my buck and helps reduce plastic in the ocean.
Cons
  • They may not break down in landfills as quickly as expected

They don't easily year rip.

They are great. Sturdy. Recyclable. Easy to handle. Use a wire piece to close. I use them for cleaning litter box, kitchen trash, dirty depends, and general trash pickup.

Pros
  • Unscented & Odorless Trash Bags
Cons
  • They may not be suitable for commercial use

Best compostable bags

We have tried quite a few. Most others require that you double bag if you won't want your compost to fall out the bottom. These are very durable.

Pros
  • Highly convenient, as it stays in one piece even when wet
Cons
  • They may not be as easy to open and close as traditional bags

Not compostable-these are plastic

I decided to line my compostable toilets at my family's off-grid venture to make my job easier. The 13-gallon bags show no sign of composting, I suspect they are just plastic. TMI: I have bags full of poop and peat moss that will not compost down now. I even decided to run a little test trial and compare these bags (right) to a truly compostable bag that I use for food debris (left). Buried both of them, exposed to Texas sun, rain and look at the results after 2 weeks. These bags are not…

Pros
  • Ideal for those who practice composting at home
Cons
  • They may not be as easy to transport as traditional bags

not very robust for my opinion

handles would help when tying these off. very little give to close them up, the bags need to be about half full for it to work which really reduced the capacity.

Pros
  • Perfect for kitchen use, as it avoids odors and smells effectively
Cons
  • They may not be as widely advertised as traditional bags

Don’t quite fit on my review.

I love the idea of these and they work fairly well. A few things: you do have to empty trash more often because the bags start decomposing. That is great! But. they just aren’t quite big enough as regular bags that are the same size. They don’t hug the trash can well. I did try using these in my art studio as well but they aren’t workable in there.

Pros
  • Compostable in a municipal or commercial composting facility
Cons
  • The bags may not be as strong as traditional bags

Best BioBags I've Found, Great Amount

These biodegradable bags have worked really well. We use them for everything: recycling bins, trash, and our Litter-Robot. They're definitely the most durable eco-friendly bags I've ever encountered. I was really surprised when I opened them and noticed how sturdy they are, like any other average trash bag more or less. The size was just what I was looking for, and the carrier has made them really easy and compact to store and take one as needed.

Pros
  • Good for the price
Cons
  • They may not be able to hold as much weight as regular plastic bags

Working great! best in my review

I did some homework prior to this purchase and saw many complaints from people who bought compost garbage bags that fall apart or dissolve while using them. These bags are a bit thicker than most. If you're not careful, you could rips them while stretching or poke a finger through them, but that hasn't happened since my first use. I do baby then a bit and use a light touch. It's worth it to keep plastic out of the environment. I would definitely buy these again.

Pros
  • Reduces plastic waste in landfills and the environment
Cons
  • The compostable material may not be as widely used as traditional bags

Solid Trash/Compost Bags

I bought these since I was looking for compostable ones that were reasonably priced and durable both large for my garbage and small for my compost bin.I'm a pretty solid abuser of my trash bags, and these have held up well, I haven't had a single leak in my trash cans in the past 6 months I've been using these. Unlike many compostable bags, they don't start sweating, which is a huge plus for me.I've pulled a star because occasionally the top will have a rip as I tie the bag up, and honestly I…

Pros
  • Helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as it breaks down naturally
Cons
  • Compostable bags may not be as durable in high moisture environments

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Sturdy bag, but a little short on width.

The bags are quite sturdy, however they aren't as 'wide' as other bags I've had. I am unable to open the bag to cover the opening of my compost container.

Pros
  • Nice product. Wish they had ties.
Cons
  • The bags may not be as convenient to use as traditional plastic bags

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than expected!

These bags are much sturdier than expected. They don't tear easily or break down with a normal amount of liquid. I have not tested how compostable they are but for normal kitchen trash use, they work great.

Pros
  • Meets the demands of everyday life, providing strength, durability and reliability
Cons
  • The bags may not be as attractive to consumers as traditional bags
