I feel that the add on amazon is really deceiving. I did a search for 7 mil bags and this item was on the page. it turns out that they are only 3.5 mil bags. No where on the add does it say 7 mil but on the other hand neither does it say 3.5 mils. I have purchased 4 different brands of Mylar bags in the pastand this is the only one that I have serious concerns about the thickness. The seller claims that thickness isn’t an indicator of its ability to prevent oxygen from getting in and I was intrigued by this claim. Work fine. These come with oxygen absorbers. I misunderstood the directions and, at first, doubled up on the absorbers. These bags will probably last until the next millennium, LOL. These are a good deal and seem plenty strong. I will repurchase once I use these up. I read a lot about mylar bags, thicknesses, and so on, and these will do the trick.

I really enjoyed these bags this year. I can't believe I ran through them already! They are a little thin, but still get the job done. Thinner than the harvest right ones, but you cant beat the price. And you dont have to buy the oxegen absorbers separately. They are slightly bigger than a quart which was great. I will definately buy from them again.

I was intending to use these for backpacking meals, but they are 3mil which is too thin for that use. They puncture easily being jostled in a backpack and you end up with pin holes that are not fun to find when you are filling the bag with hot water. I recommend buying bags directly from Harvest Right as they are much sturdier (7mil) and they have free shipping.

I made my first purchase of these in 2016. I stored rice,beans,salt, and sugar. I just opened my last bag of sugar and rice from 2016. Everything was great the bags held up and were completely sealed. I will definitely purchase this brand again.

They are bigger than other brands. The o2 absorbers are vacuum packed in groups of 10. If you don't have enough items to use all 10 when they get first opened, be prepared to vacuum pack them or put them in an air tight jar immediately. The bags are great not sure of the thickness but I have had no problem with them, the oxygen absorbers are fresh and work great , will buy again .

Good product but one pack of the oxygen absorbers had a tiny hole in the plastic bag and the absorbers (10) were bad. The mylar bags were in good condition.

No wonder they didn't mention the thickness in the listing. A bit disappointing when they were so highly recommended in FB freeze drying groups.

I like the bags for long term storage of all kinds of dry foods. Works well when vacuum sealing, just add a couple of 1" vacuum bag strips to allow for the sealer to work and double seal.
