Review on 🔌 NGNWOB 2500W Pure Sine Wave Inverter - DC to AC 12V to 110V - RV Truck Solar Power Converter with Multiple Outlets by Andrew Burnside

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I found a way to do this using a quiet and relatively safe backup power supply.

The Wave NGNWOB inverter is much larger than any other inverter I have ever owned. Over the years I have used gas generators in the 800 to 5000 watt range. But for "portable, quiet and clean intermittent power", an electronic inverter system is preferred. Using the smaller "Cut Sine Wave Converters" I looked for an inverter that could safely source and emulate a 120VAC, 15 amp household outlet. The 2500W NGNWOB inverter meets these needs to a high degree. And I've developed a safety factor of about 50% for this application. Tradeoffs and power requirements… Going from a mechanical oil generator to a "battery and inverter package” with this 2500 watt inverter requires tradeoffs. Typically, the most notable trade-off is the length of the "automatic" period during which the inverter-battery system can deliver the maximum power level. While gas generators can run for many hours on a full tank, this inverter runs on battery power and with 4 deep cycle lead-acid batteries in parallel and in the worst case without charging at the same time for about an hour to two hours. or more, depending on the draw of all connected devices. And with all of its internal "safeties," I found it relatively safe when left unattended. Basically... In my video I started the inverter while it was connected to the only battery on my van. In addition, it was shown under load both with the engine switched off and without recharging via the alternator and with the engine switched on and the battery charged at the same time. Most helpful was the inverter's red LED display showing the input/battery voltage as I cycled through all the charge cycles with the 1800w hair dryer. Given this test and the fact that the device works as expected, I was impressed. I also looked at the cost of the inverter and the additional cost of 4 deep cycle lead acid batteries and decided this DIY backup generator set with a 2500w NGNWOB inverter is a good option alongside the larger gasoline generator. systems.
