Review on 🛏️ Terry Twin XL Waterproof Mattress Protector by Newpoint by Melanie Phillips

I bought this product a few years ago and was only able to use it for about 3 months before I had to throw it away. I wanted to like it as the terrycloth material was originally soft and fit my queen size mattress well. However, after about 3 washes in a typical medium cycle, the inner waterproof plastic layer started to separate from the terry cloth in tiny bits (many bits/pieces of plastic film). At first it was just in the form of a few small spots, but after about 2-3 more washes it almost completely came off in big uneven spots all over the bottom layer and those plastic bits started to crumble everywhere, so it was getting harder and harder waiting. I couldn't even peel off all of the plastic wrap just to try and turn it into a regular non-waterproof mattress cover. Apparently the so-called "waterproof" aspect was no longer effective. I wish I had known sooner so I could return it or not buy it in the first place. I'm not trying to hate this product but the quality and durability just wasn't there. Instead I bought a different brand mattress topper, quilted and waterproof, which had none of these issues.
