An Inexpensive Way to Protect an Expensive Mattress

I wanted to protect my expensive mattress from accidents. I've read reviews of many waterproof mattress pads. Invariably, some have reported experiencing leaks. The Dreamaway Waterproof Mattress Pad surprised me because it's a padding with a waterproof barrier on the bottom. I know my 100% polyester socks absorb a lot of water when washed, so the 100% polyester filling should do the job. But just in case, I bought a Newpoint Terry waterproof mattress pad to put on top of it - for $14, how could

Water resistant but dries when laid and dried

Many of the reviews for this product have included dissatisfied customers saying the case is not waterproof. I totally disagree. I have a daughter with special needs and I have to change and wash her sheets and mattress cover almost every day. She urinates or gets her diaper and clothes dirty through the night at least 4 times a week. I bought two of these cases and have been very pleased. However, I have never dried them in the dryer. I always lay/dry with a drip method. My only guess is that…

Does its job as bedding

We have two children and as you can imagine there are a lot of spills on the bed not to mention accidents. Up to now, all liquids could be wiped off easily without even a hint of a wet stain. The material is a bit rough (I can't put a baby on it as it's rough and irritates her skin when she moves) and therefore not very quiet, creating the noise you hear when your feet touch certain materials like corduroy rub. It fits over the mattress like a sheet and stays in place from day one, which is…

Works perfectly! on mattress covers and sheets

I don't know what the negative reviewers are saying. After almost 2 months of purchase I have no complaints. water (1000 ml) and left on the bed. Somehow the cup tipped over and you know the result. everything got wet. We all panicked until we realized we had this blanket. You see, we've never tried this before. but to our surprise, after we took out the sheets, blankets and this blanket, the bed was COMPLETELY DRY! I mean dry! Nothing on the bed. not a drop of water. Considering how wet…

I was shocked and the quality! Excellent purchase!

So after many purchases of waterproof pads for my son's bed, I wasn't expecting much from this purchase. Everything we bought at Walmart, Target and the like for less than 30.00 was nothing more than flimsy plastic like paper without a single cotton fiber or anything. They all broke within a few days after just making the bed, and after washing they were even more prone to tearing. Just awful. We have one on our bed that we paid 99.99 for when we bought our mattress and I was about to buy it…

Perfect Fit for Tempur-Pedic Mattress

After purchasing the Tempur-Pedic mattress we needed a new mattress pad. With Tempur-Pedic, the mattress topper needs to be breathable, so traditional polyester batting pads won't work. Pads sold through Tempur-Pedic are $70 to $80. This mattress topper is great value for money and is perfect for a Tempur-pedic (right angle) mattress. The sides are long enough to be tucked under the mattress. I washed it before putting it on the mattress and it washes and dries beautifully. I was a little…

Not so much for us!

We bought this mattress pad because the one we made for my husband was very hot and noisy. With such a low price and great reviews, we thought we should try the Newpoint Terry King Waterproof Mattress Pad. It feels light when it hits the ground, but we liked the terrycloth material. Our little one sleeps very little with us and is not potty trained yet, so this protector has seen many "accidents". So far we've only had one emergency leak and we've had over 40 so far. We're happy with that. But…

The waterproof layer started to peel off after 3 washes

I bought this product a few years ago and was only able to use it for about 3 months before I had to throw it away. I wanted to like it as the terrycloth material was originally soft and fit my queen size mattress well. However, after about 3 washes in a typical medium cycle, the inner waterproof plastic layer started to separate from the terry cloth in tiny bits (many bits/pieces of plastic film). At first it was just in the form of a few small spots, but after about 2-3 more washes it almost…
