Review on Nixeus Ultrawide FreeSync Certified NX EDG34S 3440x1440P Curved Screen Monitor with Tilt Adjustment, Flicker-Free Technology, Anti-Glare Coating - NX-EDG34S by William Eldridge

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ultra wide models with the best value for money for summer 2020

A great monitor and possibly the best value for money ultra wide monitor available for summer 2020 at $500. Performance is excellent, the monitor works well at normal overload settings. The OSD buttons are loud but tactile, and I wish there was a joystick option. When looking directly at the display, no leaks from the backlight can be seen. Colors are excellent, with deep blacks and an average contrast ratio for a VA panel. Ideal for playing in a dark room. The stand is quite deep and has no height adjustment, you may need a monitor stand as I chose it for height adjustment. HDR400 isn't a big deal, but as they say it makes a HUGE difference in the games and apps that support it. Colors are amazing on a professional TN gaming pad. Color accuracy needs some tweaking, but is great for gaming. However, if you're creating content, I'd look at an IPS panel. Arrived without a single dead pixel, but the speakers don't work and don't work. Of course, no real gamer or PC enthusiast will ever use monitor speakers, so I gladly abandoned the monitor for lack of dead pixels.
