The best AM/FM pocket radio on the market

This is the best pocket radio on the market. Excellent handling and ergonomics, easy to read LCD, Euro or US tuning (in 9 or 10 kHz steps), automatic timer to switch off when falling asleep, works great with rechargeable AA batteries, excellent sensitivity and selectivity on both bands, this is what you get! I don't know why the bad reviews, but I've tried many popular pocket radios and they have the best performance, features, and price. A little trick I've done is to put a wide rubber band around the width of the device so it doesn't slide around on the table or when I'm sleeping. This is a great radio for listening to long range (DX) stations and from my Chicago location I can reliably get AM stations in Nashville, New York, Boston, Iowa, Minneapolis, Dallas and Montreal on AM at night. I have been a licensed ham radio operator for over 25 years and would highly recommend this unit as one of, if not the best pocket AM, FM pocket radio on the market. Stereo on FM works great with headphones (I like Panasonic headphones). I like the locking function so that the frequency doesn't accidentally shift when you press the tuning button when the radio is in your pocket or on the bed. Simply a great radio and I can recommend it without hesitation.

Pros
  • AM/FM pocket radio with zero-drift PLL system synthesizer tuner and built-in speaker
Cons
  • Legacy model
