Review on Copper Gua Scraping Massage Tool by Robin Phipps

I am a professional massage therapist/therapist, so my experience may be slightly different than someone uses at home. However, I give it a 3☆ for several reasons. Firstly, it's smaller than I was hoping for and I have pretty average girl hands. Mine also has a notch at the tip of the thicker end which makes it too sharp and I have to be careful not to accidentally catch anyone with this part until I find a way to sand it down. I also find that the edges are too sharp. I haven't seen them bite on patients, but they definitely dig into my arms when I'm doing deep cross fiber work on them. (Consider a small, slightly thick butter knife.) Patients report that the rose quartz instruments I've used feel better, although this one doesn't cause any discomfort or pain, it's just not as comfortable. The description also said it was copper, but it's brass. It's not really important, but I'd like a precise description. After 2 weeks of working with it, it shows slight color changes, which don't bother me either, but can drive some people crazy. On the other hand, it won't shatter if I drop it (I've broken a few rose quartz tools now, and when they shatter it's like breaking glass - the shards fly everywhere and I can't let anyone go). my desk is barefoot until it's cleared!) It's also lightweight, which makes it good for wear and deep, with less initial hand fatigue. (Then even more so because of the size and hardness the longer I use it during treatment.) There's nothing wrong with it that can't be fixed, but if I'm buying something made for a specific modality I don't think that I should fix it to make it work. I'm disappointed, I was really hoping this would become my new favorite tool, but it isn't. Not bad for the price, fully functional (if you don't have a defect at the tip) and does what it's supposed to, but not what I was looking for.
