I am a working musician who plays guitar and has knuckles. My son has cerebral palsy and that's why his hand is squeezed and it's causing him pain. We both tried this handheld massager and I was impressed with the results, especially how well it worked on my son. Anyone dealing with developmental disabilities knows how hard it is to find things like this that actually 'work', but he seemed to really enjoy it and his hand relaxed in the device with no problem. (As you can see from the photos, he enjoys hand massages.) It has an "intensity" setting, and I suggest starting on the lowest setting. For me it was a good massage and felt good on my aching fingers and palms. Since it's battery operated and rechargeable, I'm considering taking it to gigs to use before and after the show. I have a feeling my bandmates will want to try this device too. Overall this handheld massager works as advertised and I am happy with my purchase. Also, any therapeutic device that can put that kind of smile on my son's face is a straight slam dunk winner. Thanks for reading and I hope this review helps.
