Review on Experience the Finest Quality with TINKUY PERU Peruvian Alpaca Fingerless Gloves by Sam Bell

Revainrating 1 out of 5

NOT a real alpaca. This is acrylic.

This is a fraudulent product. I ordered these because I needed NATURAL fiber gloves because I work on fire (historical cooking) and don't want the acrylic on my hand to melt in case a spark touches it. I also didn't want to spend time knitting my own. When I received them I was very suspicious. They felt like acrylic and had none of the properties of natural fibers. I immediately did a test by heating a small piece of lint that I was able to rip off with a lighter. FLASHED IMMEDIATELY. Acrylic/polyester melts. Natural fibers such as alpaca fibers are not! If it were real alpaca fiber, it would turn to ash. No sticky residue. They were sold as real alpaca fibers. I'm glad I took the test and didn't wear them! I'll send them back immediately.

Pros
  • The softest and warmest wool you have ever seen. You have to feel it! At Tinkuy Peru we make sure our clothes are soft, comfortable, warm and durable; That's why we use a special blend of 100% high-quality alpaca wool.
