It really works!

I was skeptical about this. I didn't want to caulk the bottom of the tub. So while looking for alternatives to sealant I came across this great strip. OMG, this really works! It hasn't lost its grip and looks like a brand new tub. Now I'm looking around my house to find other areas that need fixing. It's fast, extremely durable and for the price you can't beat it.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • unreliable

Terrible results

I should have known better. I've been in structural engineering for 20 years now and sealant works a lot better and looks a lot better. The only reason I tried this is because the guy who owned my house before me left a huge gap between the shower insert and the tub. If you ever run into this problem, or if you just can't apply a straight bead of grout, try masking tape. Be sure to remove the tape when you're done putting pressure on the sealant so it doesn't dry on the tape. Do not use this…

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Available in white only

Big improvement

As renters we have no way of installing a new shower door/trim and the old aluminum frame was quite unsightly not to mention leaking. After preparing the surface as instructed I was able to mask off most of the underside of the frame, masking what I couldn't remove from the old sealer and giving at least part of the frame a cleaner look. It held up well in very slick areas, but I had to use some caulk under some of the more heavily pitted areas to get a good seal. All in all a big improvement.

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • I will add later
