I should have known better. I've been in structural engineering for 20 years now and sealant works a lot better and looks a lot better. The only reason I tried this is because the guy who owned my house before me left a huge gap between the shower insert and the tub. If you ever run into this problem, or if you just can't apply a straight bead of grout, try masking tape. Be sure to remove the tape when you're done putting pressure on the sealant so it doesn't dry on the tape. Do not use this product.
