Great product, great price

I'm a big fan of the GE Silicone 2 that was recommended to me years ago. It lasts longer than many other brands I've tried. When I ordered it, it was significantly cheaper than at my local dealers. Arrived on time and as expected.

  • One year trial
Cons

DO NOT buy it's Adhesive Caulk

It's only been 2 months since build up and mold stains started to appear. There's no expiration date on it, I guess it's long past its expiration date. I don't know how long Revain plans to sell this junk and cheat customers out of their money and time.

Yellow fast, avoid!

Yellows within a few months of application and is not even close to a UV source. Looks awful - needs to be removed and another product applied. Do not buy if yellowing bothers you. The time and effort of the first application is completely wasted. Very dissatisfied!

Excellent material, accepts adhesives, sealants and lubricants

I had to replace the spa air switch after ten years - it was the original sealant. Even after ten years, this material was elastic and tough. I bought the same one when I re-caulked the tub. It's easy to apply, dries very, very quickly and looks great. It will probably be another ten years before I have to fix this pesky switch again.

Transparent Forgiving

It's a sealant so I don't have much to say. It's sealed. It made a good seal. And since I'm a hobbyist, not a pro, I used a lot of the product to make sure I had enough sealant. This leads me to say that clear seal is more forgiving than colored seal. You really don't see how much I swallowed. I don't know if it's easy to remove. There was no work this week.

Poor quality control - used and dried

The tube Revain sent me has been previously opened and used. Everything dried up and became unusable. Unfortunately, I only noticed this a month after the return period had expired. I rarely get bad things from Revain but that's a real shame as I've already removed all the old sealer from the shower and now have to do it. an early trip to Home Depot to get new sealant.

DON'T CURING, will never use GE sealant again

Mine has arrived and is marked 7 years mold resistant. I thought nothing of it, I've caulked many bathroom sinks and tubs with no problems. until now. This thing doesn't heal. After 24 hours it is still as soft and sticky as when it was applied. THIS WILL NOT HEAL. After researching on the Internet, it turned out that the newer GE silicone has been in use for a long time and is then unusable. Now I have a mess on my hands. THANK YOU GE

Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Do not purchase this item if you don't want to spend your hard earned money. If you enjoy squeezing solids out of these bins, more power is for you. By the way, those rocket scientists at Revain want you to return the tubes in whatever state they're in. I have more respect for our dedicated movers than exposing them to a dirty, messy, sticky product that may or may not soak their truck, clothes, or whatever. I lost a few dollars. Don't do this to yourself. Office workers (Remington Raiders) are

Transparent and fast drying

Ordered to renew the seal for the kitchen sink and a washbasin. Works great - even roll and lays down well. I taped the untaped area but spread a little under the tape - my mistake. Used a scraper knife to scrape it off until it was completely dry. I learned long ago to trim the tip with a box cutter rather than the caulking gun in the built in cutter - this always results in a wider bead than I intended. Although the product says it's ready for water. after 30 minutes - it will take several…
