Works exactly as expected. We have a wall with a stand about 2 inches from the center of the wall, so the traditional brackets connecting the two stands prevent our TV from being centered. This mount allowed us to mount on a stand near the center and turn the TV slightly upside down to minimize the effect. It's not perfect yet, but it's working. As for the durability of the device, it is reliable. We have a 46 inch LED TV and it holds it up with no problems. We were nervous about buying without reviews, but the construction of the unit is steel and the number of screws they offer allows for a variety of TV styles. We don't use an HDMI cable, but this appears to be a quality product.
