I believe I have been buying from Techmatte for 5 years now I have their screens for Iphone 4, 5, 6+ models and iPad Air and Pro 10.5 models. These protectors were in plastic sheeting and glass. Newer glass versions like 10.5 are excellent and work as advertised. I've used the plastic versions before and liked them better as they don't break when installed and don't break when dropped. Plastic screens are more difficult to install and appear to be more susceptible to dust entrapment. It looks like the glass version actually hides the dust in the adhesive, but that's just a guess. This particular product was easy to install and since I had two I just jumped in and did it the first time with no prep like steaming. Bathrooms etc. Here is what I have done and recommended: - If you have very dry air and find static electricity anywhere in your house then do this project in a freshly steamed bathroom to get rid of dust and static electricity. - Turn off all ventilation systems, such as B. Air conditioning or heating, ceiling fans, and move to an area WITH NO AIR MOVEMENT. Find a hard surface to work on, like a table, and make sure you have bright lighting. Wipe down the entire work area to remove dust. - Read the instructions and watch the video before you start. - Wash your hands, wear lint-free clothing if possible. Dry your hands with a paper towel. Clean the screen with dish soap and water, but only on a 1-inch section of paper towel. Wipe the screen with a paper towel and look for dust at an angle. Blow away any dust you see. - Wipe the screen with an alcohol wipe. Go from one end to the other and remove the phone. - Wipe the wet screen with a microfiber cloth in a circular motion and check if there is dust by the angle of reflection. - Remove step one, but do it away from the phone and do it slowly to make sure you don't build up static electricity that attracts dust. - Look straight down and carefully line up the home button and speaker holes. I've found that sometimes it's best to just center the screen and use the sides for the same gap. Now gently touch the screen with the glass and let the nozzle flow. You will actually see it flowing from the point of contact to the edge like water. I wouldn't touch or press until you see most of the bubbles come out. If you have any, gently slide the scraper outwards from the center. Once you have all of this in your hands, you can push harder. Don't try to pick it up and back on as you'll find you've just gotten dusty and lost traction. I think that's why you get two in this pack! - If you see dust, put the device in a warm place or in the sun until it warms up, and then try to push it out. If you don't succeed, just wait a few days as it might just go away as the glue flows around the dust.
