This lap table is big enough for my 15.4" laptop and an 8x8 sketchbook! (They overlap a bit, but it works.) I can use my laptop by keeping my phone and water bottle next to me. This is a great portable workstation! The height is really great for working in bed. The depth makes it a bit awkward on the couch, but it's way better than other lap tables I've tried. The height also means I don't have to hold it. I can only sit underneath. This is great for using my heavy laptop or if you are a student using a heavy textbook. The distance between the fold-out legs is almost perfect for cross-sitting. It's a bit small for my long legs (I'm 6ft) so I have to be careful getting in and out of the intersection so I don't get stuck in an awkward position. This is the only legged lap table I've seen with this type of space. Definitely better than I expected! It is very durable. Pink Edges - Soft/Medium Plastic. Does the white center look like plastic covered wood? The leg joints are made of hard, durable plastic, and the legs themselves feel like hollow metal. There is foam on the bottom of the legs to keep them from damaging surfaces. On the one hand, the box is quite cheap plastic, but it holds tight and does not slip out during transport. It's enough to hold things up, but it's by far the cheapest part of the item in terms of feel/look. The table arrived dirty. I think it was dust. I wiped everything with a Lysol tissue, that's all. Not a problem for me but maybe for someone allergic to dust. Overall excellent value for money! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cheap but durable desk for a student, for temporary residence or if you are unsure of your skills.
