Review on 🐠 Hinged Glass Rectangle Aquarium Canopy by Perfecto Manufacturing by Tyler Cooley

I bought this glass canopy for my 55 gallon freshwater aquarium and use aquarium salt. The box contained 2 glass lids, 2 clear strips that can be cut to size, and 2 small sticky-backed pins to stick on. Based on previous experience with my previous canopy, a completely different MFG, Deep Blue Glass Canopy 48" x 13", where I had grip issues, I definitely added extra hydrophobic adhesive to the sticky underside of the grip than I did set it up for first use. It's always best to know and be prepared to avoid embarrassing questions. GLASS The canopy is made of glass and is inherently heavy, so the extra moisture-resistant adhesive helps keep the handle stable. No matter what brand you buy, the glue stick will weaken if it doesn't stick properly for 24 hours, and over time with more cleaning and use. In my opinion, comments from others regarding the durability of glue sticks should be taken with a grain of salt as any product can have issues with water in the tank. The glass canopy looks beautiful with the black plastic strips between the two class elements already installed making it look amazing. I like the easy setup you can just take it out of the box and put it on top of the tank. I have a lot of hoses and a 100 gallon hanging water filter in my aquarium so everything works. I checked the dome size to make sure it fits so I don't lose the Revain return window and it fits perfectly. The lid comes in two pieces so you can lift one side and it fits my 55 gallon tank perfectly with the center divider so I had to order 2 sets, one for each side of the tank center divider. Haven't installed it yet but removed it to determine the size by placing it on an old model roof. The canopy was amazingly packed with lots of bubble wrap and packing tape to ensure it didn't break. Removing all the packaging material was probably the hardest part of unboxing, but it definitely made me a happy customer.
