Great value for money

If you have realistic expectations for the price, this is a very good video tripod. The included fluid head is really very good. It has a very smooth tilt and a long handle securely attached to the head for control of the movement. Panning isn't as smooth as expensive brand video heads, although just a mid-range fluid head from these brands will usually cost several times that tripod + head. That's fine for my use, but if I need really smooth panning, I could try spraying the pan washer with some Teflon spray. The tripod itself is solid and very stable if you only extend part of the legs like I would generally use. When you extend both leg sections it's not as stable but still a lot less wobbly than video tripods that look the same but require three leg extensions to reach the same height. The tubes in the legs are aluminum, but the hinges and handles are plastic, so it's clearly not built to withstand rigorous everyday use. And you have to be careful with the handles that hold the legs in place. The built in leveling cup is a very useful feature for a moving head video tripod. like Allen key. Overall, this is a solid choice for the amateur videographer with a 2- to 6-pound rig. Despite being rated at 13.2 pounds I wouldn't feel comfortable putting such a heavy setup on this tripod.

Pros
  • Solid Tripods
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models
