When used with Mac Pro 2019 Rack - Not stable

Used this item for our second 1920 x 1080 display - on Mac Pro 2019 Rack - 16 Cores - Radeon Pro W5700X - Big Sur. When using this Cal DIGIT USB-C to HDMI converter, the desktop image for the main display connected directly to the computer will revert to the default desktop image after a typical reboot. The desktop image for the monitor connected to this device remains selected. So, out of curiosity, we switched this adapter from Apple USB C to HDMI and everything works great. Not sure what it is, possible Big Sur compatibility? either way it doesn't work properly.
