Sturdy well made case

I would give this case 4 1/2 stars but since it's not an option I gave it 5 stars. This is a really good case, both aesthetically and functionally. The body is very durable. I haven't dropped my new phone yet, but unfortunately I'm sure I will. As much as we want cases to look cool, their primary function is to keep your $1,000 phone from breaking. This case ticks that box. The corners of the case don't follow the contours of the phone, but stick out a bit. A smart engineering move in my opinion. I've seen a few negative reviews about this feature, but I'll use an extra layer of protection on a broken phone any day. the likelihood of dropping the phone. The back is transparent so you can see the color of the phone. Camera cutouts are the perfect size. The case is slightly raised around the edges of the screen and cameras; important characteristic. The retractable kickstand is pretty resourceful. I've never had a case like this and I have a large callus on my little finger to prove it. Because the stand is curved and smooth when extended, it's easy to hold without digging your fingers. Farewell, Callus! The stand works great when the phone is in a horizontal position. Doesn't work that well vertically as the angle is too small, but it works. I haven't tried plugging the side stand into the car vent, but I don't think it's a good option. My only complaint is the Scooch badge on the back of the case. This badge is metal but too small to attach to my magnetic CD holder. I think I need to buy a phone holder with a stronger magnet. Hey Boring, is your wingmount magnetic holder strong enough to hold your phone with that little metal shield? I'm looking for a replacement. This case is a bit pricey but looks good and protects my $1300 phone. I give a clear buy recommendation!
