If a lot of hair collects in there and you don't clean it often, you're going to absolutely have trouble draining your tub properly very quickly. I think it looks surprisingly good for a hair trap and works well as a drain in our '80s almond bath. Reasonable price too. Overall I would say I am happy with the performance and would recommend it!
