My wife and I are moving into a smaller house with smaller rooms and needed small ottomans at the ends of the bed to store our linens and a place to store extra pillows while we sleep. They were perfect because not only could we stow extra bedding in the stools, but we could also put extra cushions and pillows on them at night and use them to sit on while we put on our shoes. While they seem sturdy enough to sit on, I'm 165 pounds and they feel solid and secure. They didn't take up much space and were affordable.
