These are definitely dishcloths! They pick up stains fairly easily which unlike my other kitchen towels don't come out in the wash. They hold soap and water pretty well, so I can use less of both, but they're big enough that it kind of compensates. I don't plan on getting new rags or throwing them away to get the job done which is at least 4 stars for me, but they are large and easily soiled which means they can't be 5 stars in my opinion. They're also a bit more expensive compared to buying the best pack from the store, but I guess that's an extra cost for convenience!
