Review on Long-Lasting Reusable Arctic ICE Tundra Series Purple Ice Pack by Jeff Dabney

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Best Camping & Hiking Disappointment

I bought the premium Tundra purple product because I thought it stayed cooler than the other ice packs in the Arctic Ice range. I get very cold in our zero-degree freezer (confirmed with a thermometer), but I'm surprised at how quickly the packaging starts to melt in my fridge. Not an objective test, but *seems* no more durable than an equivalent block of pure H2O ice. Well constructed, durable pouch that will retain its shape (not bulge) when fully frozen. But I'm not sure if buying the supposedly higher-quality purple Tundra pack offers any significant additional benefit over its less-expensive blue or green cousins.
