Does what it says on the tin but not in what you would expect

Works great, I use it to switch my keyboard and Razer wireless mouse (Viper Ultimate with dock) and monitor between my gaming pc and my work PC. It works well with no perceived latency other than the fact that its "keyboard" and "mouse" ports are useless for my purposes. Why? The "Keyboard" port is designed to listen for certain "magic combination" key combinations that allow you to switch from one computer to another using the keyboard instead of using the KVM key. While this sounds good in theory, in practice it means that there is a very noticeable lag in keystrokes and associated responsiveness on a PC (to be honest this might be ok for office work but since I use this with my gaming -PC parts , this is definitely unacceptable for gaming). The "mouse" port doesn't introduce any noticeable latency, but for some reason it doesn't pass all the device information to the PC (so my computers never recognized my Viper as a specific mouse, only a generic one, meaning that I couldn't use my profiling software on my gaming PC to change the dpi settings on the fly, which will come in handy when gaming). Again, this might be perfectly fine for office work, but if you have a single gaming PC it just doesn't fit. Solution? USB 2.0 port. I plugged in a tiny USB hub (no power) and plugged in both my mouse and keyboard. The keyboard doesn't stutter, the mouse is recognized on both PCs with all the trimmings. People have warned me about KVM, lag and horrible gameplay, but to be honest I don't feel any extra lag when using this port. The only thing I'm not sure about is that my Vipers dock charges it as fast as plugged directly into a PC without using that mini hub, but it charges and there is no disconnection issue during use. on monitor release. It works as expected. Switching is almost instantaneous. Overall I would recommend this product. I'm only deducting one star because I have to use undocumented and unexpected ways to get the most out of it, but that can be done with a little inconvenience.
