Looks MUCH better now. The rest of the pedal isn't as bad as everyone says. There is no panel to remove. You gently press your fingers on the plate to the left of the pedal and start prying the standard pedal from the top right corner and literally pulling it until it pops out. I took mine off without even breaking the clips. Make sure the new tabs line up with the factory holes and insert them. The rest speaks for itself.
