This is our second City Select. Our first was the regular City Select with the double seats. It worked fantastically for traveling with both my kids by myself. But now that my son is older, he needed a seat other than the stroller seat. We had the glider board for our regular CS but he didn’t get to sit down and on long layovers I felt like he needed an actual seat. Enter the CS Lux! Honestly I hate that Baby Jogger doesn’t make a bench seat for their regular CS, I feel like it’s a marketing ploy because the Lux is pretty much the same as the regular and much cheaper CS. The bench seat is the only reason I got this one. Anyway, that’s neither here nor there. The reason I LOVE this stroller are as follows:-super easy maneuverability. My son weighs 45lbs and my daughter weighs 30lbs and I can pretty much steer this one-handed, and take very tight corners.-folding is a cinch. It’s lighter than my regular CS, and can even be folded with the bench seat attached. It does take two hands, but I just have the kids stand next to me at the gate at the airport while folding.-the wheels are rubber, so the never deflate. We live on a dirt/gravel road in Alaska and I’ve never had an issue. This thing can go over pretty much everything. It goes on snow pack, and through slush pretty well when our snow finally melts.-huge storage underneath. The sides of the basket are a strong but flexible mesh, so you can kind of shove whatever you need in there and it just expands as needed.-higher weight limit. The stroller seats can hold up to 45lbs each, and the bench seat(sold separately) can hold up to 65lbs.Cons(there aren’t many, but a few):-the stroller seat doesn’t recline with the bench seat attached(which isn’t a big deal to most people here, as this review is for the stroller not the separate attachment).-I do wish it was a one-handed fold, but honestly it’s not that big of a deal-it’s heavier than some single strollers, but it’s because of the solid frame and really well made rubber wheels.-it comes with no attachments or accessories whatsoever. You have to purchase everything separately from Baby Jogger which again, I think is kind of a marketing ploy but I digress. All in all, you get what you pay for, and this stroller is the Cadillac of all strollers in my opinion. Very very well made, no cheap plastic parts. It’s made for the long haul for sure!
