Fits well but is much larger than expected

So I bought this for my 4 year old iPad and the first thing I thought was how huge this case looks, it's great for little kids, as you can drop them and don't be too careful with tablets but as the iPad itself is big it looks huge but it fits well and you still have access to the volume button, on and off and a charging socket what good is also the wings will stand as used when open
