Adventures in cleaning a pizza stone without detergent

It's the best time to clean up! The toppings poured over him when he put the pizza in the oven. They immediately burned out and got stuck. Almost impossible to repair at the moment due to the temperature of the stone. Once cool, we tried cleaning it with steel wool, a kitchen brush, and a dish sponge. Nothing removed the remaining clumps of charred ash.
