I see mostly bad reviews online about this camera. Maybe I'm just lucky, but it works great for me. I have used it with my RX100V and my A6400. It was plug and play and worked great with both cameras. RX and TX were not paired so I had to pair them. It was weird because the lights seemed to be blinking like they said but it wasn't working. I initially thought I got a bad set but decided to try the pairing process using the instructions. After the pairing process everything worked fine. So just know you could have to plug them in out of the box. I don't seem to have the problems that others have. I mainly use it with my RX100V for high frame rate mode. I use it to start and stop recording at 240-960 fps. For that it works great. It stops recording fast enough that I don't miss a frame, even if I only have a few seconds to capture the right moment in 960fps action. I found the answer to be almost instantaneous. I've also used it with my A6400 just for photography and it works well for me. One reviewer mentioned that if you press the button too quickly, the photo won't take. You must first press lightly to start focusing. I also noticed that with my RX100V. I don't know is it a limitation of this remote control or Sony camera. But after just a few moments of experimentation I found that I didn't have to wait for the focusing to complete, I just had to press the button slowly enough for it to recognize a half press before a full press. It still takes me less than a second from the start of a key press to a full press. I was tempted to deduct a star for that, but I can't say Sony isn't responsible for the performance of their multi-channel connection. Even in my use I did not find this to be a limitation. I would assume that there can be split-second misses in animal shots, but I personally wouldn't use a remote shutter release in this situation. In this situation I would hold the camera, watch the animal and wait for the perfect moment. Or I would use burst mode and take a series of shots to get the shots I want. But I don't know the exact location of this user, so it might be a problem for others as well. In any case, remember that this is the case. Ultimately, it works well for me and I'm happy with it. I noticed that there is only one star here, so I decided to throw my thoughts into the fray. Of course he has limits. But for me it was a reliable way Capture well-aligned and long-exposure shots without camera shake, and capture action at high frame rates, even from a distance. so it could be a problem for others too.
