413001 Without air duct Bratwurst on front burner This range hood with fan on LOW draft has smoke under the hood. Half of the smoke hit the leading edge and went to the ceiling under the hood. Turned the fan on HIGH and ALL the smoke came out from under the hood! Set the sausage in the background with the fan on LOW. Still losing about half the smoke. Turn the fan to HIGH speed and every bit of smoke will be blown out from under the hood! Yes, the fan pulls out (the sheet is not upside down). The fan should pull from the front of the hood. or at least be mounted right in the middle of the hood and not have a sunscreen blocking the filter. The inside of the hood should face the filter and not the stepped design it has now. Bottom line: I was going to buy another one to use in my airbrush booth, but the price went up $6.09 the day after I bought this one. one, and since it doesn't pull well, I'll pass the second hood.
