The gauge attaches to the hose without a quick disconnect, so the gauge flops when the hose is threaded into the transmitter port. This is a combined engine and transmission oil gauge so I am assuming the gauge will go up to 500psi for transmission testing. This means checking the engine oil pressure at idle is useless as the gauge won't move even at 12psi. I put a 60psi filter on it to test at idle. I'll probably return it and get a set specifically for engine oil pressure.
