Low light, cheap (and broken)

DIMMED LIGHT: This light is advertised as having 1000 lumens. Of course this is not true. The equivalent of 45W is listed on the side of the box, which is probably closer to the truth. I estimate it's around 600 lumens. DONE CHEAP: I installed several LED lights including a motion sensor. This Sunperian light is the cheapest I have ever installed. The instructions are just as bad. POOR SWITCH POSITION: The color temperature switch is on the top of the light, facing the wall. So when you decide to change color, most people have to remove the light and look for the switch. Other similar lamps have the switch under the diffuser in the same direction as the light, making the switch relatively accessible. DEFECTIVE: My lamp does not go out. This doesn't seem to be a common problem. But that's another reason we're coming back to Revain. If you want light as bright as a 50-watt incandescent bulb, the Westinghouse 6111700 LED is half the price, better finished, and available in 3000K (my preference) or 4000K models. Its light output is only around 650 lumens, but it appears to be as bright or brighter than the Sunperian. , It is also available in 3000K or 4000K.

Pros
  • DIRECT INSTALLATION - Connect the motion sensor ceiling light directly to your 120V house wiring for reliable lighting. You don't have to worry about changing batteries or your flashlights won't work due to a power outage. It can be installed at heights of up to 8 feet using the included screws on your 4" in-ceiling junction box.
