The best way to remove the balancer on DuraMax. Makes you hate the engineer who designed the water pump for the Harmonic Balancer a little less. Just make sure you have a long breaker extension when you start this job.
- . Transmission parts only. Work with Duramax 2500/3500 pickups. Remove the metal spring loaded inspection plate on the underside of the gearbox. The tool should be inserted into the hole toward the engine with the top of the tool engaging the flywheel teeth.
