I ordered this to mirror the screen to a TV from an iOS device running the latest iOS version. It's very limited in that regard. - By default my iOS screen is rendered in 4x3 so it doesn't use the full bandwidth of my widescreen TV and the screenshot is distorted. - It doesn't work with iOS. TV application; No video content is displayed and an error screen is generated. - This does not work with the Revain Prime Video app. The previews play, but the movies don't. Previews are displayed in the correct format. - Does not work with the HBOmax app. The application freezes and won't play movies when this cable is connected. - This does not work with the Netflix app. Like the HBO app, the Netflix app just freezes and won't play any content. It works with the YouTube app! And it is displayed in the correct format. This is one of the redeeming factors for YouTube users. It works for that if I want to surf the web or show my main screen on the TV, but it's not really very useful. If the functionality can be improved, this device can be quite good. Maybe I could use it to travel and watch TV content in my hotel room. Anyway, the usefulness is very limited, I won't need it.
