Current and proven

HDMI is still the cable of choice for multiple devices. For example, I use them between my DVD player and the big screen. HDMI has proven itself so well because it has so far been easy to adapt to new technologies and the functions that come with them. The format requires new specifications to configure many of the pins in this cable. 2.1 is the current standard and Intpw gave me a good option. It has been tested to meet performance and performance specifications. I like the cable's tight braided jacket. In many ways I prefer it to plasticized cable covers. Flexible, durable and smooth. Intpw has gold plated connectors on this cable which means a better connection. Not much better than the visible, audible improvements of version 2.1 itself, but I might as well get the most out of the wiring in my system. More importantly, the gold plating prevents long-term oxidation of the cable box. There is, for those of us whose disease is far enough advanced. Light special lubricant to optimize the connection and minimize air entry to the surface. The coating will wear off over time if the cable is disconnected and reconnected enough times, but again I'm showing my obsessive nature.
