I was hesitant to purchase this tablet because I read several reviews that said it would not work on the AT&T network. I know some people use government toll free phones and this works from the AT&T satellite. For those of you wondering, I'm happy to report that it does indeed work with this tablet. Like a complete phone. I know this because I tested my grandmother's SIM card in a tablet and it works absolutely perfectly. For those of you who work in EMS, Life Alert or any other government softphone, this tablet will work with those programs. I really like it because she can use this tablet and actually see what's going on. The color is great, the price is great and it's perfect for us. I highly recommend this. I don't know why other people can't get SIM cards to work, they must not have gotten an unlocked version of this device. But the SIM card is inserted right on the side of the device and in a minute it starts working.
