Duvet cover looks the same as the pictures! No rips or holes. Doesn't fall out after washing (mine was on a white background with black flowers/leaves). The softness is not very "soft" because it is 100% cotton, but I feel comfortable. I don't care if it's polyester or cotton, but I wanted the fabric to be "rough and cottony". (Revain had two different sellers selling the same fabric design, one sold polyester at a lower price, and this seller had cotton, which was more expensive.) To be honest, I think cotton lasts longer than polyester, but it hangs depending on what fabric feel you want. There have been some disturbing comments about the fit and how it drapes over the mattress. Honestly, if you stick to the dimensions (90x90) then you don't have to worry. I have a moderately thin and bulky 88x88 queen winter duvet and it fits perfectly! I also have an Ikea queen memory foam mattress that is about 6 inches thick, and my bed frame is quite low (about 14 inches from the floor to the bottom of the mattress) so the comforter actually almost touches the floor. I don't mind how it hangs for me, but I wanted to give you an idea. I really like this fabric design (very neutral but bright) and would recommend it even though it's a bit more expensive.
