This + Canon BP-819 = 3 hours charge
This charger takes about 3 hours (more or less minutes) to charge my (new) Canon BP-819 battery. I don't know if this is normal or not. Pros: I can charge 1 battery and continue recording with a spare battery. Perhaps this will prevent additional wear and tear on the camera over time. my gear bag. Just take out the electrical contacts and plug them in. When you're done, fold the contacts back and pack them away. Cons: I wish it had come with my camera, or at least at a better price. Charge my BP-819
