Let's be honest friends. We know the Playstation 4 is a great console and the Dualshock 4 is one of the best controllers ever made, but the truth is the battery life on them is complete bullshit. For smooth, long gaming sessions, owning a second controller for your PS4 isn't a luxury like the PS3, it's a necessity. That's why you need this charging station. There are 4 reasons why I think this is a very good product: 1. It charges Dualshock 4 fast I charged mine from empty to full in under 45 minutes. Charging will take significantly longer when using a standard USB cable.2. The controller is not connected to the charging station via the micro USB port, but via the microphone socket on the underside of the controller. Micro-USB connectors aren't the most durable, especially when compared to the much more durable mini-USB connectors found on previous generation electronics, so it's desirable not to wear out this important connector from repeated connections. Because the controller charges upwards, the Dualshock 4's light bar is clearly visible, making it easy to see when charging is complete. It charges two controllers at the same time.4. The form factor is exactly what you need. It's small, durable and not ugly. I'm not sure what more you could ask for aesthetically from this type of product. Overall, I highly recommend this product as a quick and easy way to charge a spare Dualshock 4 when your main controller runs out of power.
