Review on Avalon Coated Sneakers for Women and Men - TOMS Shoes Fashionable Sneakers by Dwayne Calhoun

Let me start by saying that these are technically my first few volumes. I bought several pairs of classic sneakers but couldn't find the right size and finally decided they just weren't for me. However, they are not classic. size or whatever. They run true to size...order any size you wear in regular shoes. I wear 8 across the board (heels, tennis, boots etc) and have ordered 8 of these. Fits perfectly. These are cute, comfortable shoes. I practically live in them. I've had them for about 6 or 7 months and have worn them just about anywhere you can think of - to soccer games, to work, to the beach, to the grocery store - you name it. I can wear them all day with no problems. I actually had to wash them recently as they got pretty "nasty". I simply pulled the soles out (they aren't sewn like the classic toms), washed/soaked them by hand in the sink with some pine ash instead of detergent, and gently tossed the shoes in the washing machine. Then I laid them out to dry and they came out almost new. I cannot recommend them enough. I only took off one star because the wax coating wears off over time. I can't say I noticed exactly when this happened, but it was definitely before I put them in the wash. I don't really care, as I assume that the shoe will show signs of wear at some point. But the coating adds to the appeal of the shoe and that was an advantage for me, so it's worth mentioning. The photo shows what they look like today.
