I bought these to wear to work in the summer. My job requires me to stand up and walk a mile back and forth for over 8 hours. Last summer I bought a pair of TOMS Alpargata espadrille shoes and I really liked them. I've never tried toms and bought them at Ross for 19.99 so why not? They were so comfortable I could literally walk a few miles in them without socks and my feet felt great. This is my third pair of one size toms. The other 2 I own are very comfortable and can easily be worn all day. For some reason, this pair seems to sit differently in the back, digging into my Achilles tendon with every step. If you want a pair of shoes that you can just slip on and wear, look elsewhere. I've been wearing them regularly (with heel wraps) for the past two weeks and they still don't soften or stretch enough. I think they will eventually wear out but I don't think I'll be buying another pair after that. They were just too uncomfortable but I want them to work since I spent the money on them!

I like these shoes but they're also a bit of a wreck. They look great but are not very comfortable. - After wearing them for a few days, they stretched a lot. - They are not lined so there are open seams on the inside of the shoe that rub against my foot. I taped the moleskin seams but nothing changed. I feel like a princess on a pea. The fabric is stiff and rubs against my heels. I put Moleskin on my back and it helped a little with the chafing.

As a previous reviewer noted, they fit snug when first bought. I took the same reviewer's advice and wore them around the house with thick socks to stretch them out. It worked like magic and I can wear them comfortably with those little socks that aren't visible so make sure to get them the size you usually wear and do the thick sock trick. Super comfortable and easy to put on and take off.

Let me start by saying that these are technically my first few volumes. I bought several pairs of classic sneakers but couldn't find the right size and finally decided they just weren't for me.
