I've had this lamp for 18 months now and I love the quality of the light it puts out. However, this requires the use of a built-in timer, and any power outage, no matter how brief, will require the timer to be reprogrammed. And when it comes on after a power outage, it's 3 p.m. by default, and the light stays on for six hours, even if it's the middle of the night. I have two and last month I finally found a workaround. I connected both to a timer and set it to turn on at 11:00, turn off at 14:59, turn on at 15:00, turn off at 18:00, turn on at 18:01 and turn off. at 11:00 p.m. So it gets dim blue light at night before shutting down completely, and a brief power outage won't turn it on in the middle of the night. I am giving two stars because one of these lamps has already failed. . It flickers most of the time and produces less illumination when it doesn't.
